Vera Ellen Wang was born on June 27, 1949, in New York to Chinese parents who immigrated to the United States in the mid-1940s. Wang started figure skating at the age of eight. Wang attended “Friends Seminary”, graduated from the “Chapin School” in 1967, attended the University of Paris, and earned a BA in Art History from “Sarah Lawrence College”. In 1968, Wang was introduced as a high society debutante at the “International Debutante Ball” at the Waldorf Astoria New York. Wang was hired as an editor at “Vogue” immediately after graduating from “Sarah Lawrence College”, making her the magazine’s youngest editor. She stayed at “Vogue” for 17 years, leaving in 1987 to join “Ralph Lauren”, for whom she worked for two years. At the age of 40, she resigned and became an independent wedding dress designer.
1. Vera Wang is one of the most successful designers in the world, but we only know what she wants us to know about her private life because she carefully guards the truth. She is 73 years old, but everyone who knows her says she stopped aging when she was 32.
2. She says that youthfulness is the result of good genes, but also a balanced diet and regular training. Vera does not hide that she walks every day, takes care, also drinks a lot of water, and alternates dinner with a glass of vodka.
3. However, what intrigues the whole world is the fact that Vera has two adult daughters who are almost completely unknown to the public.
